Rev. Carolyn McAvoy, Interim Minister

​

A Knox grad, having served in 12 pastoral charges- Carolyn discerned (in 1997) a specific call to interim minister to help congregations in transition. She is trained as an Interim by the Interim Ministry Network. Carolyn is also certified in various personality tools which she uses in a small consulting practice which supports her between interim ministry appointments. (ie. Myers Briggs; Emotional Intelligence; FIRO-B)

Alison McNicol, Administrator
Alison joined the staff at Trafalgar in 2008. With her previous 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she enjoys working with people and is always a friendly, helpful voice on the phone. Organized and detail oriented, Alison brings her management experience and interpersonal skills to the church office.

Building relationships with the members of Trafalgar’s congregation and in the wider community is one of her top priorities. Assisting the many different rental groups who use our facilities is also one of her strengths. She can be found in the church office Tuesday through Thursday each week and is always happy to receive phone calls and emails. Paul Miller, Director of Music
Paul, a long-time friend of Trafalgar, began leading our music program in 2010. He hails originally from Woodstock, Ontario where he was baptized Presbyterian and studied violin and trombone. Paul studied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo and sang in the chapel choir under Leonard Enns at Conrad Grebel College.
 
Paul leads our Junior and Senior choirs, exploring a wide variety of musical styles on a weekly basis. Paul also conducts a growing ensemble that includes not only piano and guitar but violin, clarinet, flute, trumpet, cello, french horn, trombone and percussion. He is always on the lookout for new singers and players.
 
Paul is passionate about encouraging people of all ages and skill levels to find joy in music and enabling them to share their musical gifts within the worshipping community. He lives in Oakville with his wife Sarah, their son Ben and their two daughters, Ella and Olive.
